Hastelloy C-22 alloy is an all-around nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy that has better overall corrosion resistance than other nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys (including Hastelloy C-276, C4 and Inconel 625). Hastelloy C-22 alloy has good resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media, including wet chlorine, nitric acid containing chloride ions or a mixture of oxidizing acids.
